Mechanic Bio
- A&P Certified Mechanic
- Inspection Authorization (IA)
- Private Pilots License
13 years in the aircraft maintenance industry. With a strong focus on piston aircraft maintenance. FAA licenses included A&P mechanic license, Inspection Authorization Endorsement, Private Pilot License. Started my career working at Ft. Rucker, AL for Army Fleet Support. Worked on UH-60 & Bell 206 helicopters. Then started working for independents FBO’s in Iowa and Colorado. Became owner and operator of my first aircraft maintenance business in 2015.
I’ve had my hands in just about everything in the piston aircraft maintenance world. From engine overhauls to aircraft painting (I’ve only painted one aircraft and that’s all I probably will do haha). I’ve become a PA-28 expert due to our flight school operating 8 of them. Very familiar with Lycoming 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder engines both normally asperated and turbo-charged/normalized.
I’ve installed many different kinds of STC with the majority of them being avionics installations. Including transponder, nav/com, GPS, auto-pilot, and audio panel installations. In addition, I’ve installed many airframe related STC’s such as gap seals, vortex generators, BRS parachutes, etc.
Today I remain focused on helping other mechanics start or grow their own business or side Hussle. Let me know how I can earn your business. I look forward to working with the aviators in the central Iowa and throughout the United States.
